I needed a vertical laptop stand for saving space on my desk when I have my laptop connected to an external display for gaming at home or design work. I looked around for something but I didn't find something that fitted my needs, so I decided to design my own.
I wanted to make the design as universal as possible so it can fit most laptops no matter their size but keeping it simple. As you can see from the photos it fits many machines and I also found it handy for stowing wireless keyboards.
Basically you can slide the stand to increase its size and using an M4 countersunk screw and thumb nut to tighten it. Simple! :-)
Current design max opening size is ~34.5 mm
I also have more ideas how I can improve the design and grow with it. I already have a prototype mini one for Raspberry Pi and larger for the Atomic Pi.

No supports needed for this model but depending on your infill it will take quite a few hours to print.
Printed at 20% infill for my daughter and it took around 6 hours per side. If you have a heavy laptop you might want to increase the infill percentage, my green stand is 50% infill and took around 8 hours per side.
0.20mm layer height @ Speed setting for Prusa MK3 and Prusa Slic3r
Printed in PET because I like PET for more practical applications but PLA would work also I suppose
