[2022-12-01] UPDATE: Version 2 of the model added which has minor adjustments for better fit. The original version 1 had some trouble attaching properly to the vacuum main body due to some dimensions.
Spare part for the back side of the main body of Dyson V8. This is the connector piece where the post filter screws into on the main body.
I modeled this piece in Fusion 360 based on the original piece that had broken on my Dyson V8 (probably due to falling on the floor). Mine had broken from the side of the main body so the filter still stayed connected to the piece but it came out from the main body with this connecting piece since it had been partially broken.
I reused the gaskets from the original broken part.
If this piece (printed or original) is not already broken on the body's side it might be difficult to remove it as it's not made to be easily removable. You probably have to slowly break it apart with some cutters until you can remove it (just be careful not to damage the wires/electronics behind this part).
The new part you can just press into the body and it should lock in place (assuming it fits ok depending on print settings).
This is the first version. I didn't need to do any tweaks after first print to make it work. Though the body side doesn't sit as perfectly as the original (I think it's slightly too tight but worked fine for me). It could be made better with some adjustments.
You may tweak it using the provided F3D file in Fusion 360.
