TronXY X5SA MGN12H Linear Rail Upgrade (Direct Drive or Bowden)

This is a gantry conversion kit for the TronXY X5SA 400. It should work with the other X5SA models however you'll need to adapt the length of the linear rail (450mm for X5SA 400).

Gantry and Carriages are compact, sturdy and simple - easy to install, easy to get fast speeds

Both Direct and Bowden carriages are provided and for both the GT cable connection, motor/extruder mount, and attachment to the MGN12H carriage are one piece of plastic.

You will need some parts in addition to the printed files.

I also no longer have the included hot end and bed leveling sensor so this is designed around the E3D v6 and BL Touch.

The part cooler is also based around a standard blower and not the mini-blower the X5SA came with.

And then you'll need an assortment of m2 bolts and boat nuts (for mounting the rails), m4 and m5 bolts and boat nuts (for mounting parts of the gantry, an assortment of m3 bolts and nuts, and four m5 30mm bolts.

Depending on your printer, all of these pieces should be printable with build-plate supports however if you struggle with overhangs and bridges you may want support everywhere. Obviously you'll want decent infill for rigidity.

You must print:

Pully Top Left

Pully Bottom Left

Pully Top Right

Pully Bottom Right

Motor Mount Left

Motor Mount Right

2x Y Carriage Slotted

And if you want to use the default X5SA Y Endstop in the default location then Endstop Holder Small - Bottom Mount.

Then if you're going Direct Drive:

Direct X Carriage Base

Then you have to pick a bottom plate based on whether you're using a Titan style extruder or a BMG style extruder and whether you want to attach an accelerometer. Pick othe Direct Carriage Bottom Plate* version that matches.

Finally, you'll need either the Volcano or the standard height blower

If you're going Bowden:

Bowden Base

Bowden Clamp

New Blower Bowden

Then the BL Touch Bracket based on volcano and whether you want to attach an accelerometer

For both carriages you'll need:

4x Cable Clamps

Blower Fan Mount

X Carriage Cable Tower Cable Chain

This gantry is part of a larger project to build a custom printer based on commodity parts. I'll update this Thing when the rest of the kit is released.
