A grit guard sits in the bottom of your wash bucket in your wash solution. It allows the dirt and debris that gets stuck to your wash sponge/mitt/towel to fall through the grate and rest in the bottom of your bucket preventing re-contaminating during your wash process.
There are plenty of 12" grit guards on the market but I needed a smaller one for a 2 gallon bucket used in a part of my detailing process. This one is 205mm diameter which is just a hair over 8". You can of course adjust proportions in your slicer to fit your needs.
I printed in PETG with 3 perimeters which makes it solid and it doesn't float.
