Use these stands to put your VanMoof upside down without damaging the handlebars.
The foot should be printed ‘as is’ and the other parts are best printed on their sides.
Be the owner of a VanMoof that is faulty. Simply owning a VanMoof will probably put you in this category. Print two stands and put them on the cross bar as close as possible to the handles. See the photos for an example. Then flip the bike and set it upside down. The stands should stay clamped to the cross bar. Use a cloth or another soft fabric to put under the saddle when working on an abrassive surface.
You could try and replace the TPU parts of the multi material print with simple felt material.
The photos show the prototype. The actual stand base is 10mm higher to allow for extra clearance of the handles. I've also made the clamping force a bit higher. I've decided to include the original anyway as it is working quite well. Just keep in mind that it puts the handlebars closer to the floor and has a bit less clamping power.
Fitting before printing the whole thing
As the stand is printed best on its side; you can cut it to only a few mm's high in your slicer to print a test version. This will save time and material.
Update
27/4/22 Corrected an error with the Base file and added a version with the correct indentation for the Foot. Also added descriptions to the files.
29/4/22 Uploaded versions with an inner diameter of 28mm to help the stand clamp tighter to the handlebar.
