The display base is theme around NFS2, the F50 varaint I use is not the same one as in game but it is close enough. If you wish to see a different car used in this display base, contact me!
This display base is separated into 3 parts for easy printing and colour swap. The parts are:
1) Name plate (NamePlateAssem.STL)
2) Base (BaseV2.STL)
3) Base back wall (BoxBackAssem.STL, BoxBackAssem2NFS.STL and BoxBackAssemNFS2.STL)
There are 3 variants of Base back wall, the one in my pictures are "BoxBackAssem2NFS".
The difference for each base are:
Back wall with simpler design in the background of "Need for Speed 2"
Back wall with background of "Need for Speed 2" with designs based on NFS 2 menu and large "F50" logo. As shown in the picture
Back wall with background of "Need for Speed 2" with designs based on NFS 2 menu and small "F50" logo with "Ferrari" lettering.
Nozzle size = 0.4 mm (minimum, smaller better)
Layer height = 0.2 mm
Filament change layer for colours on "BoxBackAssem2NFS":
1) Layer 14 (Background of NFS 2 logo, mine is orange-ish golden)
2) Layer 19 (NFS 2 logo backgroud design, mine is in black)
3) Layer 24 (NFS 2 main logo and F50 logo, mine is in silver)
Filament change layer for colours on "NamePlateAssem":
1) Layer 10 (NFS2 logo, "Ferrari" lettering, "F50" base and "Class A" lettering, mine in silver)
2) Layer 15 ("F50" logo thin lines, mine is in orange)
Colours of all other items is your choice.
The car is screwed back using the original screw from Kyosho.
Back plate should slide in nicely into the display base. The name plate might need some trimming to the side to fit into the box.
I have not test both the other base wall design, they will need a much smaller than 0.4mm nozzle to print it well due to the Ferrari logo.
Feel free to send me any feedback on how to improve the design. Suggestion on display base designs are welcomed too.
