Now with a rotary potentiometer/encoder. Extension is about 55mm.

Materials:

• rotary potentiometer.
• pipe: 190x6x1mm
• 200mm M5 threaded rod
• M5 bolt
• small piece of rubber like an O-ring (6x1.5mm) or a piece cut out of a rubber band 

When combined with one another models of this collection mimic the functionalities of the instrument panels found in most aircraft (helicopter, fighter jets and even space ships).
