This is a parabolic microphone reflector remixed and reworked in Onshape to accommodate a LOM Usi Pro microphone capsule and to be mounted using a magic-arm or similar.
Assembly is simple; print one of each half and glue together. Superglue or epoxy both work well.
The microphone should be mounted pointing towards the dish (backwards) and the cable should be zip-tied down either arm with a little slack (but care should be taken to avoid banging or loose bits making noise!) The microphone will need to be adjusted in-and-out a few mm to find the exact focal point of the dish.
Ideally; the dish should be spin-coated in a hard, acoustically reflective material, this will maximize the reflected audio and reduce back-pickup (from objects and handling BEHIND the dish)
