Snowman fairy lights

Everyone knows fairy lights and I thought they could be customized a bit. The idea came to me while I was about to print a lamp and see the competition. I have developed snowman attachments that you can easily put over your fairy lights. At the bottom of the snowman there is a small attachment to let him stand on the fir branches.

Notes

IMPORTANT! You should only use LED bulbs. normal lightbulbs generate too much heat and can cause the plastic to melt. With PLA, this happens very quickly. These problems will not occur with LED lights.

Basically, most LED bulbs should fit in the snowman. Nevertheless, I enclosed the construction drawing with you so that you can research beforehand whether your light chain is also suitable for it.

If the snowman doesn't quite fit on your fairy lights, you can play with the scaling function in the slicer and adjust the snowman a little.

Fixing

Such classic fairy lights as shown in the picture are best suited. The principle is actually very simple. You put the LED light through the lower opening, then carefully bend (preferably with your fingernail or screwdriver) the cable guide outwards and guide the cable into the cable duct provided. It's easier to do both sets in a row rather than at the same time.

The snowman is then actually very easy to attach to the tree. You take the tabs provided for this purpose, carefully bend them down a little and wrap them around the branch of your Christmas tree.

Now all you have to do is put his hat on the snowman and straighten him out. If you now put the plug in the socket, your printed snowmen sitting on the Christmas tree will glow.

Print description

You can actually use the standard setting for this pressure. I printed with 0.2mm here. As a little hint, I recommend setting the seam position to random. It looks better when the seam is irregular. If you don't do this, you have a dark spiral on the snowman. Otherwise I haven't changed anything in the settings

Filament: Colorfabb PLA semi matt withe / Colorfabb PLA black

Layer thickness / mode: 0.2 Quality

Infill: 15%

I wish you a happy print and I am happy about your experiences!
