Designed to fit 6" fiberglass airframe I use for ARLISS projects.
The 6" Sections have a 6mm channels for adding carbon fiber rod to help strengthen them.
4th stage uses a 4" tube.
You can either print the the entire tower as one or use a BT-5 tube for the cylinder length.
I've modeled this in Fusion 360 and it's a work in progress. I've shared the STEP file of the model for those of you who want to use it as a starting point.
Basic assembly of the upper section
I printed and flew the upper section to 2 miles! The ARLISS rocket had two cameras to capture the deployment of the student project and to see how well the printed section holds up. The internal camera was used to see try and capture as much as possible of the student's project during its deployment.
Yes, THIS version of the rocket is too long for a Saturn V and the fins are classic ARLISS fins, so it does look a little odd. I do plan to build a non-ARLISS version with the right length and fin can. Those untested components are included in the step file.
