It is designed to use adhesive tape that is at least 1.5~2.0mm thick. Thinner tape might have problems with reaching the wall without modification to a model.
All common controllers should have no issues sitting on this. So far I've checked it with Switch JoyCon, Switch Pro, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, PS4 and Steam controllers.
No supports needed, infill can at 15-20% will be sufficient. I've used 0.2mm layer height for my prints.
I would suggest using brim, as the footprint is pretty small and there is a risk of wrapping/detaching.
