I recently built the LACK enclosure for my Prusa Mk3S. As I decided to leave the power supply mounted on the frame and not move it, I wanted to add a thermometer to the enclosure, to check on the inside temperature. I found a lot of mounts/housings but I didn't want to run a sensor cable and/or embed a thermometer into the frame.

I ended up buying this thermometer on Amazon for $10 and designed a simple housing to mount on the underside of the enclosure's lid.

The thermometer has two magnets in the back, which I am using to secure the thermometer in the holder. This makes it easy to remove the thermometer, for example, to change its battery.

Update 1/16/22:  Added a version in which the thermometer drops down by about another inch. so it's visible even if you're using the excellent Pocket Doors for the LACK v2

Insert two 6 x 2 mm round magnets, e.g. https://www.amazon.com/FINDMAG-Refrigerator-Magnets-Premium-Whiteboard/dp/B07XRNWZFQ into the holes in the center of the model, by using some superglue to hold them in place. Make sure they attract the magnets on the thermometer before you glue them in place!!!!

Mount with two countersunk wood screws.
