UPDATE:
I added tweaks 8, 9, & 10 described below, today (Nov 15, 2020)
I shoot and home-develop a lot of different film formats, and I found myself unsatisfied with the “solutions” I had for developing 110 film, so I started asking around for a printable reel. A friend suggested one from Thingiverse, but also mentioned that they had printed it and it doesn’t work… so I thought I’d start making tweaks to make it work. This is the ongoing result. At this point it probably isn't so much a "remix" anymore, but rather its own entity.
Obviously this is being offered on here so that people can make one for themselves (if you do, please let me know!), but if you would like me to print one for you, I'd be happy to for a reasonable price. Just send me a message and we can hash out the details.
To see actual prints of my design, check out the “Makes” tab (I print basically everything I design.)
Printer: MakerFarm Pegasus 10
Rafts: Doesn't Matter
Supports: Doesn't Matter
Resolution: 0.2mm
Infill: 20% overall with some 100% mesh modifiers in a couple places, for durability
Filament: GST3D / eSun / Any PLA+ (Black & Orange, any color)
Nozzle temp: 205°C
Bed temp: 65°C
Notes:
Brim: I used a 2mm brim just as a precaution against edge curling, but I don’t really think it was necessary. I just tend to default to using brims
Post-Printing
Nothing special for post-printing. Just basic removal of the brim (if used). Also, depending on your printer's tolerances, the center hole may be a perfect fit for the Paterson center core rod, or it may need some minor adjustments. All printers tolerances are slightly different in my experience
Improvements/Tweaks I've Made
Remix Comments and thanks
In the end, I made so many tweaks/mods that there are really only minor aspects of the original still present, which would probably classify it more as a borderline “remix”. Still though, giving credit where credit is due. Thanks to the original designer @FabriceL on Thingi for inspiring me to make this one
