*Edit(11/14/24): Added support for AS5600 Hall Sensor thanks to @WesleyDQ_2375183!
This mod requires a few extra #6-32 screws and a couple of 608 bearings.
This is my shot at 3d printed pendular rudder pedals inspired mainly by the Thrustmaster TPR and many other community made designs. I am well aware that the Arduino Uno and potentiometers aren't the best choices for this task but they fit my budget and seem to work pretty well. If enough people are interested I'm happy to develop a version with hall sensors and a proper microcontroller. The Arduino for this project is running Unojoy(more info here https://github.com/AlanChatham/UnoJoy). I've included a .f3d that includes a full assembly of the pedals including joints, hardware, and section analysis for a better understanding of how they're meant to be assembled. Again, if enough people are interested I would be happy to post more specific information pertaining to the assembly on my Instagram. Also If you want to see updates on other projects I'm working on feel free to check out my Instagram @ asar.kofi_engineering https://www.instagram.com/asar.kofi_engineering/?hl=en
The rack and pinion system was derived from here https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/diy-pendular-rudder-pedals.13130/
Total price: ~$100 including filament

Print instructions
The arms, pedals, and arm tensioner were printed in Cura at 35% infill with 4 walls 8 top/bottom layers, and support over 60 degrees with conical support enabled and set to 45 degrees. The arms and all linkage mounts were printed with tree support. Pretty much everything else was printed at the same settings but with 25% infill. When printing the arm tensioner frame piece take care to add support blockers as shown in the screenshot, this should be done for any other part that otherwise requires support and has perpendicular inset holes in order to prevent Cura from unnecessarily adding support in the holes. If you have any questions about the print process feel free to message me here or on my Instagram. All models were printed in the orientation shown in the pictures. Minimum 220X220 mm build space.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
