Alternative adapter for mounting TriangleLab's Dragon hotend to the Bondtech's MK3S extruder upgrade. Enables single handed nozzle removal as the adapter will prevent the hotend from rotating, unlike the stock one.
Design uses two M2.5x5mm screws and nuts for attaching to the Dragon hotend. Note that the Dragon hotend ships with 2mm mounting holes, which needs to be drilled to 2.5mm before this adapter will work.
For the PTFE tube, the recommended installation procedure is to cut a quality (Capricorn) PTFE tube to a length of 24mm, then install the adapter first without the Dragon hotend attached. Insert the PTFE tube from the bottom of the installed adapter and you should end up with 1mm sticking out. Mount the hotend afterwards. You should end up with the PTFE tube perpendicular and flush on both ends. If installed correctly, the adapter will actually be locked into place by the portion of the PTFE tube that sticks out of the top. Reverse the process to remove the adapter.

Of the provided STLs, dragon-bondtech-mount.stl is the original model while dragon-bondtech-mount-bridge.stl is the same model but with the top hole patched to allow for easier bridging. The patched model requires that you drill out the mounting holes with a 2.5mm drill, but that's something that you'll need to do to the Dragon hotend anyways.
No supports required if printed with the squarish side facing down. High temperature filaments recommended as the hotend does get warm, even more so if you are using this in a heated enclosure.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
